Social care database checks will be undertaken for all successful applicants applying to a role within Children and Families and roles within education which require an enhanced DBS check.
The checks will be conducted for the following reasons:
- if the individual has previously or is currently receiving a service from Essex Social Care, their social care records will need to be sensitised to protect them from inappropriate access
- there may be issues arising from the check that could have a bearing on the individual’s suitability for employment with us
