End an assignment

Ending a temporary agency worker’s assignment 

Unless a special provision has been agreed, there is no requirement to give notice to a temporary agency worker. Temporary agency workers are also not obliged to provide notice to Essex County Council (ECC).

However where possible, we would encourage you to give a minimum of one week’s notice when you end a temporary agency worker’s assignment to give due courtesy.

To end the assignment, you need to notify us by emailing the Resourcing team (PDF, 125 KB)​ who will manage this on your behalf.
