Find out how to get help with eyesight tests and glasses for display screen equipment (DSE) use.
You can make a request for a Specsavers voucher which will cover the full cost of an eye examination and glasses if prescribed solely for display screen equipment (DSE) use.
We have appointed Specsavers as our eye care provider. This means you can apply for a voucher and book your eye test through any Specsavers optician.
Specsavers has over 900 stores in the UK with over 70 of these located within a Sainsbury’s store.
The majority of their stores operate extended trading hours with stores opening late nights, early mornings and on Sundays.
If you choose to go to an optician that is not Specsavers, the council will not reimburse your costs.
If you require single-vision glasses solely for DSE use, you can receive a complete pair of glasses from the Specsavers £50 range.
