Essex County Council venues

Under the Prevent duty, we have venue and speaker hire guidance in place to make sure our facilities are not exploited by radicalisers. 

Essex Record Office (ERO)

ERO is a short riverside walk from County Hall.

You can book meetings for up to 140 (one hundred and forty) people on the ERO website. You can also book meetings and conferences for up to 400 (four hundred) people by calling 03330 132501. 

Essex Country Parks

Meeting rooms are available at Cressing Temple and Hadleigh offices. Find out more on the Explore Essex website.

Essex Outdoors Centres

There are outdoors centres in Bradwell, Danbury, Harlow and Mersea. These offer a range of meeting and conference venues, ranging from a capacity of 20 up to 200 (two hundred).

Adult Community Learning (ACL) venues

These are a number of spaces to hire in ACL venues across Essex. To book a venue, contact ACL.
