Managing a budget

Budget setting is the process that ensures we have the financial resources required to deliver the council's services, outcomes and priorities.

As a budget holder, you are responsible for the financial management of your designated areas (cost centres), which is monitored through monthly forecast reporting.

As a budget holder you should receive training to make sure you have necessary skills and knowledge to perform your budget holder responsibilities to the standards set by the council.
