People, Service Transformation and Technology

This function is responsible for leading a wide range of human resource and organisation development projects, as well as building our capabilities for the future.

People, Service Transformation and Technology is responsible for leading multiple human resources and organisation development projects. It's also responsible for ensuring the council has the core organisational capabilities required for the future, including transitioning to becoming a genuine leading organisation.

Technology Services delivers high-quality technology across the organisation, working in partnership with colleagues across the council. Working together enables us to work towards our Digital Ambition and aspiration for Essex to be the leading technological authority for digital transformation in the country.

Our new people agenda

There is a focus on creating a new, compelling people agenda to:

  • improve business performance

  • deliver accessible and impactful services to residents
