If you act as a chair for an employee support network, you can take paid time off to plan activities involved in running a network, including strategy, events and communications.

It should not include any time spent attending or facilitating network or community meetings and events with members, as all employees are encouraged to use their working time to attend these.

How much time off you can take

Each network can assign up to three days of paid planning leave per month. This can be shared between co-chairs, but each co-chair can only take a maximum of two days' leave per month.

Speak to your line manager about taking time off for your employee support network duties.

Once agreed, you should book your time off in My Oracle under 'other paid leave'. The choose the 'network leave' option.
