We want all of you to feel a sense of belonging, be proud to work here, and feel inspired to do your best. To help do that, we will celebrate your talents and commitment to the organisation. 

Celebrating long service 

We value your commitment to the council and we’re lucky that some of you choose to spend your whole careers with us. We recognise our long serving employees when they achieve a special milestone with us (25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of continuous service).

We hold a celebration event every year for long serving employees hosted by the Chairman of the Council and our Chief Executive where we show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.  

Celebrating your contributions

You deserve to be recognised for your hard work and contributions. Each year we celebrate the achievements of our employees through a special event called You Make the Difference. Look out for more detail about this year’s event in our employee news.
