Events and catering

Health and safety guidance for any event on council premises, or any event organised by council employees, wherever it is held.

The event management policy explains the expectation and procedures for events.  

There is also information which provides guidance on the many tasks and actions you need to consider when planning an event, including bouncy castles. 

If you are organising the catering for an event, this policy has some useful information to help you make sure that you are meeting all the necessary regulations and requirements

The volunteering management guidance outlines what you need to consider and put in place before the council can approve an event where volunteers will be working. This guidance lists the minimum health and safety requirements that you need to consider.

Alcohol 

You need permission to sell alcohol. This guidance will help you get the necessary approvals.

While the event is taking place you will need to keep a record of any occasion you refuse sell alcohol to anyone, for example if you believe them to underage.
