How we define and protect personal data

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives individuals extra, or enhanced, rights in addition to the Data Protection Act 2018.

There are specific processes when dealing with information or data that is involved in any aspect of crime, including prevention or prosecution.

Where information and personal data are processed by a contractor or supplier on our behalf, we must make sure that it is processed efficiently and according to the law.
