Read the accessibility statement for Barclaycard Spend Management.

This accessibility statement applies to Barclaycard Business.

This website is run by Barclaycard System Management. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible, these are as follows:

  • Language abbreviation is not set to “en-gb" for all web pages which is required for better localisation of assistive software
  • Focus indicator does not have a minimum contrast ration of 3:1 against the background for the following pages and menus on the website
  • Login Page 1: Username/email box
  • Login Page 1: Focus indicator for the next button
  • Login Page 2: Last - digits entry box
  • Login Page 2:  Enter 8-digit code entry boxes
  • Front Page: "Take me to my account" button and on the front page “company > transaction check".
  • Reports > Expenditure Analysis > Card Activity. Focus indicator for the data entry boxes "Standard Filters"
  • When the text size is changed to very large in Settings > Appearance, the text size does not change, needs to be able to be resized to 200%.
  • All text on web pages do not have a reasonable buffer for text
  • All web pages do not reflow correctly when zoomed to 400% and footer takes up about 2/3 of the screen at that zoom level
  • Focus indicator for multiple web pages: the method if displaying focus is not consistent on the pages, the main page has four different methods if indicating focus, solid box, dotted line box, underscore and background change, this is not a failure, but it is advised that one method is used on a page, to avoid confusing users
  • Link purpose (in context) – cannot identify where the link takes you on the main page as follows: click here to view the full policy, where "here" is the link
  • All functions can be accessed using only the keyboard: the buttons report mode account cannot be accessed using only the keyboard, it appears that the focus does land there, however the button cannot be activated and it is possible to activate the employee button
  • Focus visible (when using the TAB key to change the focus it should be visible): when the tab key is used to change to focus of the landing points, the two buttons employee and account do not have a visible focus
  • Non-text contrast should be a minimum of 3:1. Reports > Expenditure Analysis > Analysis – Company (green tick in this menu)

Some of the text is not contrast to the required standard: text smaller than 14pt Bold or 18pt has a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.

  • Terms and conditions – terms of use main page
  • Url links
  • Footer texts and links
  • If an error in the search filter is entered
  • Report scheduler and other pop out web pages (text button on search)

Technical information about this website's accessibility

Essex County Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).

We plan to add text alternatives for all images by October 2023. When we publish new content, we'll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents. By October 2023 we plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 05 October 2023 if they're not essential to providing our services.

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

What we're doing to improve accessibility
