Things you’ll need to return

You will need to return:

• any IT equipment and telephones
• your security ID card
• your parking permit

Lease car

If you have a lease car, contact the Fleet team as soon as possible to arrange the return of the lease car.

If you don’t return the car, it can result in the car being repossessed.

P-Card

If you have a purchase card (P-Card), you will need to update your transactions and complete the cancellation form.

Things you can keep

If your work equipment has been provided as part of a reasonable adjustment, the expectation may be that you can take this with you if it will be needed to support your future job roles.

Home office furniture

You can keep your desk and chair that the council provided you to work from home. If you no longer need these, you may wish to donate them to charity.

Visit Love Essex to find local charities that accept donations of unwanted furniture items that are in good condition.

You can increase the value of the donation by 25% by signing up to Gift Aid. It is easy to sign up online and costs you nothing.
